Paving the Road Towards a Better Future

Founded in January 2022, Community Alliance Housing (CAH) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) established to tackle the urgent housing challenge facing our city.

Our purpose is simple but resolute: acquiring long-term empty homes, regenerating them to high standards, and offering them at affordable or social rent so that they become stable, sustainable homes for local people, and assets for the community.

We partner closely with Local Authority's Empty Homes teams and other key stakeholders to identify vacant properties, purchase them at favourable terms, refurbish them to deliver quality and energy-efficient accommodation, and re-let them as part of a financially sustainable model of housing regeneration.

By doing so we help alleviate homelessness pressures, increase the supply of good-quality affordable housing, and improve neighbourhoods.
